I have vast and varied experience in both autism and sensory integration. I have co-authored two books on Autism/Sensory Integration, am an adjunct instructor at a Binghamton University in the graduate program for the school of Education, and have twenty years experience as a Consultant for Autism Spectrum Disorders and Sensory Integration.
I have had the privilege of working as an educator in a variety of educational settings including elementary school, middle school, high school, general education, integrated co- teaching, 8:1:1 classroom and resource room. I am passionate about promoting understanding and empowerment through awareness and education. I am also the mother of a now twenty-six year old son who was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at the age of six, so I can offer practical application from the lens of an educator, advocate, and parent.
